iSEA Conference 2026

The Imaging South East Asia (iSEA) meeting is a strategic regional initiative under the Global BioImaging (GBI) network. It aims to strengthen imaging capacity, foster research collaborations, and enhance knowledge exchange among Southeast Asian countries. The 1st iSEA Conference 2025 at Monash University Malaysia marks the second official iSEA gathering, following the inaugural meeting, which successfully brought together researchers, imaging specialists, and facility managers from across the region.

For the upcoming 2nd iSEA Conference 2026, we aim to continue this legacy by bringing together more than 300 participants from academic institutions, research centers, global imaging infrastructures, and industry partners in Southeast Asia. Indonesia is home to vast biodiversity, unique biological resources, and diverse ecological systems, making it a strategic hub for imaging-based discovery and translational research.

The meeting will be hosted at the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The event will feature a scientific conference, hands-on workshops, industry exhibitions, facility tours, and outreach programs. We kindly invite partners and sponsors to support this impactful regional scientific gathering.

Registration

We offer a commitment fee for this event to keep a seat and avoid non-attendance of participant registration (up to 300 pax). This commitment fee below applied for all conference participants.

Event format: In person

Student (local & foreigner) :

100.000 IDR (6 USD)

Academic, Researcher and Industry :

250.000 IDR (15 USD)

Travel Grant

The travel grant is intended to help cover part of the travel and accommodation expenses for selected applicants. Interested participants are encouraged to submit their application along with the required supporting documents before the specified deadline.

Applications will be evaluated based on academic merit, relevance of research to the conference theme, and the potential impact of participation.

Selected participants will receive a travel grant of USD 350 per person to support their participation in the conference.

Call for Posters & Abstracts

All poster presenters will receive a certificate of participation. Selected posters will be considered for the Best Poster Award, which includes a certificate and prize.

Travel and accommodation arrangements are to be made individually, unless otherwise supported by the organiser.

Tea break and lunch will be provided only for registered participants and poster presenters.

The speaker and committee dinner will take place on 22 September 2026 and requires an additional fee for participants. If you are interested in attending, please contact the organiser for further details.

Batik Komar - iSEA post outreach

Prior to the main conference, a pre-conference workshop will be Batik Komar - Bandung. After the conference concludes, an outreach science and cultural program will be held at Batik Komar in Bandung. Please note that participation in the outreach program is limited exclusively to invited speakers and iSEA committee members.
